Belated star
Sorry, a little delayed today.
I see three nominees for Star of the Day: 1. Mark Reynolds, who went 3-for-6 with 4 RBIs, including a walk-off single in the 11th inning of Scottsdale’s 7-6 win; 2. Darrell Rasner, who tossed four
scoreless innings as the Saguaros beat the Solar Sox, 6-3. After getting ripped in his first outing, Rasner has reeled off 13 consecutive scoreless innings, striking out 12 and walking two; 3. Brendan Ryan, the Saguaros shortstop who went 4-for-5, including three doubles, two RBIs and a run scored. Ryan leads the AFL with 27 hits now and he’s seventh with his .351 batting average.
The winner is (with a small nod to Chip Cannon, who hit HR No. 9 in a losing effort)…Ryan, who is always a good pick for Beat the Streak. Today, though, I’m going with the red-hot Ben Zobrist (I’ve got the streak up to 4…)

Hey. Random question: Do you happen to know how much meal money MLB players get on the road?
