Star of the Day for Tuesday, Oct. 19
Gonna be very brief today. First, new blog posts from:
Josh Zeid, on being nominated for Class A Reliever of the Year
Jason Kipnis, on meeting what he calls the “Baseball Gods”
Second day in a row for a shortstop to win Star of the Day honors here on B3. This time, it goes
to the Dodgers’ Ivan DeJesus.
DeJesus missed all but four games of the 2009 season, then came back
fairly strong in 2010 in Triple-A Albuquerque, showing an ability to
play shortstop and second. He’s had hits in all three games in the AFL
so far, playing one at DH, one at third and on Tuesday, at second. In
that game, he had three base hits, including his first homer, to go
along with three RBIs.
